Overview
We support exporters and importers with transaction structuring and dispute resolution under CISG, Incoterms 2020 and UCP 600.
Core practice includes administrative claims against customs authorities, disputes over letter-of-credit non-payment, and recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Türkiye.
What We Do

Our Approach
Every cross-border transaction is designed around a three-legged risk matrix: governing law, forum and payment mechanism, decided together.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does CISG apply in Türkiye?
- Türkiye has been a CISG contracting state since 2011; the convention applies to international sales of goods unless expressly excluded.
- Can a bank refuse payment under a letter of credit?
- Under UCP 600, the bank may refuse payment only on discrepant presentations; strict formalities apply to the timing and content of any notice of refusal.
- Is a foreign judgment directly enforceable in Türkiye?
- Under the Turkish PIL Act, a recognition and enforcement judgment is required; reciprocity, public policy and service of process are the key gates.
